CASTLEVANIA: THE ARCADE, THE UNFINDABLE GAME THAT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE A VAMPIRE HUNTER
If you are a fan of the Castlevania saga, you probably know its famous titles for consoles and PC, but perhaps you don't know that there is also an arcade version of the game, released exclusively in Japan in 2009. This is Castlevania: The Arcade, a game first-person shooter that immerses you in the gothic and horror atmosphere of the series.
Castlevania: The Arcade is one of the few arcade games that uses a special whip-shaped peripheral , which you have to wave in front of the screen to hit enemies. The game also has a button to activate secondary weapons, such as knives or crosses, which you can collect by destroying candles and wooden crates scattered throughout the levels. You can choose between three characters: the Vampire Hunter, the Gunslinger and the Witch.
The game consists of six levels, set in typical locations from the saga, such as Dracula's castle, the cemetery, the clock tower and the cathedral. Each level has a final boss to face, among which some of the most famous antagonists of the series stand out, such as Death, Count Dracula and his son Alucard.
Castlevania: The Arcade it is a rare and precious game, which unfortunately has never been released outside of Japan. However, thanks to the passion of some enthusiasts, it is possible to download a copy of the game from the Archive.org 1 website and play it on your PC with an emulator.
